Running a global Business
Running a global business with many parts and many people is a very very very delicate thing. And with all of hte money in the world, it is always a delicate thing. Your employees are always the center of what you are doing and the center of your focus for the majority of them you are their mission. And it is helps to have people who are along side of you to help your vision come to pass. I have discovered this in buiness with so many people who are constantly with me and helping me to achieve my global vision. They are supportive, honestly, full of integrity and more. We are more than a team.

Leadership Blog
Being in business you learn a lot of things about a lot of people. You are constantly learning about yourself. Your employees, their habits and their ways. I have been learning a lot as a leader here over the past few months about myself as a leader of my company and about catering to our employees which is a big thing in a company such as our that is consistency growing every day.
As I have had my morning coffee at my favorite morning restaurant Cosi, one of my friends said something and an amazing fact to me about business - let others do the work for you. It is here that my friends - where i get my inspiration over coffee and having clear knowledge about things. Running a company such as mine where you are the leader and all that you do is always looked upon by your people, friends, co workers and other you are responsible for. Over the years I have learned to really make sure that I am surrounded by the like minded people, who have been where I have been and who have the best thing and interesting in mind. Especially for that of the people i care about and serve.
My job in Rawls Collaborative is Principal and chairman, meaning the senior lead and when things go wrong the person where the axe falls. I have learned truly over thep ast few years, that no man is an island and as leader, though you hold power and authority, you also need to make sure you are surrounding yourself with people are erady to lead themselves. You see, leadership is about much more than holding power over someone, which, you cannot have unless they give it to you and remember when people join your company, they are choosing to allow you to lead them otherwise, it just wont' work.
With that leadership comes a lot of responsibility and a lot of discipline. Discipline over things like hiring the right people who are like minded, good work ethics, passionate and who works well with others. A person who has integrity and character and who has a broad sense of reliability and leadership and who is not a person you have to coax to work or is lazy. These characteristics are important for a leader to have with them. Your attention always needs to be on what you are doing and always on your people. And especially the men that worked along side of me.
I have learned that the hard way when things and people that were not important to the mission of my life, company or my people and who try to grab attention where it was unwanted and not welcomed, then don't pay attention. That can lead to trouble in realms you do not want it to and for me many years it lead to trouble simply because I was trying to focus and could not seem to focus on what I needed to. It led to frustrated employees - the people I was serving the most, but also a frustration on other ends. You see when yo are in charge of major things you cannot have people or things around you that are not on the same level, it causes stress and anxiety that is both unwanted and unnecessary. It is the one reason why I am constantly surrounding myself with people who are for the same vision and purpose. Always stay true to your mission
This was especially true for what I had planned for my employees and everything that I had planned for their lives, to be well taken care of, have one of the best companies to work for and the best lives.
It has taught me though, to never give up, strengthened my faith in God, taught me to trust only my Spirit every morning, given me stronger relationships and more friends and has really shown me the loyalty of friends who are sticking with you, who know your heart and want your best interest in mind. Another thing it has taught me is make sure people know what is going on and not to sweat the small stuff, because leadership is important, but the distractions are not no matter how small they are. This was always a distraction about money and the jealousy there of from it's source. Yes, it had tried to cause all kinds of problems for me and my employees on so many levels.
One of my intentions for my employees is to be very rich and happy creating an environment and place where they do not have to worry about money, but that they enjoy their jobs (taking that from Warren Buffett). That to me is one of the most important things in the world is the well being of my people and for something to constantly seem to be getting at it was an issue, because they were seemingly experiencing the opposite of my intentions. Posted things on the internet, wrongly stated information, gossip and other things. It was not what I wanted for me people as the boss, because being the boss my vision is total and I mean total beneficial to all. So it has taught met to keep sharing the vision and keeping the intentions for everyone. Especially about money and knowing the universe will handle the rest.
Also, we are to stay with our plans and do not diverge from them unless we are in the counsel of others who have wisdom and who are with us in what we are doing. As my mission continues to build leaders, character, create jobs and be an economic impact to the world, I am making sure that I surround myself who share the same thing, share my vision often and empower people in business to make things happen. Also tune out naysayers that cannot or have not part in this vision. Keep your mind on your work and who and what matters.
